Last letter of 1899

Dear Son

Potwin Kansas Dec 31 – 1899

JB Adams

Dear son yours of yesterday at hand.  The happy thought occured to me that this would be my last letter written in 1899 and it would be addressed to you.

I can’t be with you at ____ Banks meeting Monday evening.  The roads are good now and I will have to haul in feed for fear of a storm.

I will be down to attend the Farmers Mutual insurance directors meeting on Monday Jan 8 -1900.

All is well at home.  Hope you are well.

Your father

I think it best to strike a dividend. A dividend always pleases a stock holder.
